Teresa E. Silva

Director of Exhibitions & Residencies, Chicago Artists Coalition

Teresa Silva is a writer, curator, and the Director of Exhibitions & Residencies with the Chicago Artists Coalition. She oversees BOLT Residency, HATCH Projects, and the MAKER Grants. Silva has served as a juror for Ox-Bow’s Fall Residency, Luminarts Cultural Foundation, ACRE Residency, and THE SUB-MISSION in Chicago. She has presented numerous exhibitions in Chicago, Minneapolis, and Springfield, IL, and has written essays for artists’ solo shows, notably Edra Soto, Johana Moscoso, and Philip Hartigan. In 2015, Silva was a Curatorial Fellow with Rapid Pulse International Performance Art Festival. She is also a member of the artist-run spaces Tiger Strikes Asteroid (Chicago), Video Game Art Gallery (Chicago), and Exgirlfriend (Berlin).
 
I would be interested in reviewing conceptual photography with an abstract edge or representations of social justice.
