The varied and numerous avenues available to promote your photography and photographic projects have made it easier to get your images into the world, but making smart choices is critical to the success of that promotion. These days, photographers not only have to consider their websites and collateral materials, but blogs, enewsletters, Facebook, Twitter, Google +, Pinterest, Instagram, Flickr, Linked In, and Tumblr, along with in-person connections at portfolio reviews and one-on-one meetings.
Clearly, there is much to consider when attempting self-promotion. In addition to the wide range of media available there are questions to ask yourself before you start. Where are you in your career? What are you promoting, and who are you promoting to? How much is too much (when do you stop)? What are your end goals?
In this seminar we explore how to successfully to get your photographs out into the visual zeitgeist. We deconstruct different social media sites and the audiences that they attract. Aline and Carrie share examples of success stories and provide you valuable feedback in the Q&A session that closes this information-filled seminar. Want to know more?
